The Animation Department is proud to announce that in 2011 it smashed its own awards total for the fifth year running by achieving a staggering 47 Awards.
-And all this from just 8 students a year!

  2 awards won by Bianca Ansems for PLAYING GHOST

and single awards to Francesca Adams for BERTIE CRISP,
Richard Phelan for DAMNED and Avgousta Zourelidi for LAIKA

A Right Royal Affair for Record Breaking Animator!
2010 graduate Victoria Mather was presented to HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH The Duchess of Cambridge as part of the "Brits to Watch" BAFTA LA Gala night held at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles on 9th July. Also in attendandce were the hollywood glitterati including: Quentin Tarantino, Blake Lively, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, Barbra Streisand and Stephen Fry.

Not content with rubbing shoulders with royalty and film stars, Victoria was smashing records at home. Her graduation film Stanley Pickle continues to dominate the world festival circuit winning an unpresented 31 Awards! The most awards ever won by a single film in the entire NFTS history!


    
To celebrate publication of his latest book, Ray Harryhausen's Fantasy Scrapbook , Don't Panic has teamed up with publishers Aurum Press, Barbican Film and The National Film and Television School to offer three talented animators the chance to meet Ray at his home and have their stop-motion animation short shown at a glittering Ray Harryhausen night at the Barbican next spring.
