I was born in East Germany.
After finishing my Master of Arts Degree in Cultural Studies in Leipzig, I worked for five years as a freelance journalist for one of the main television broadcasters in Germany and later as a Television and Radio features writer.
I have also worked for Leipzig Festival of Documentary and Animation as Public Relations Officer.
After moving to London in 2002, I worked for the Documentary Filmmakers Group organising workshops in the various fields of documentary making.
I later became involved in restoring a derelict Victorian property in Leytonstone and created a film club and exhibition space for film enthusiasts and artists. The result was a 100% recycled venue. The Vertigo Film Club, specialized in independent, underground, European and World cinema.
