Richard’s
aptitude for ceramics at school directed him towards a National
Diploma in Industrial Model-making. Finding his work often
leaned towards film, he studied for a Degree in Animation
at the University of Wales College Newport.
The
NFTS gave Richard the opportunity to maintain and mature his
personal voice and style.Aided by supportive and constructive tuition he has
advanced technically in traditional animation and for the
first time used a 3D computer program for a production.The
School’s emphasis on collaboration has been a key factor in
maintaining a creative energy that informs and shapes projects.
Dynamic working relationships have been made with many other
gifted students that will be a strong foundation for the future.
