Graduate 2001
It
was my desire to tell stories that first got me interested
in animation, and its seemingly limitless potential for visualising
the impossible that has kept me hooked.After an HND at art school in Bournemouth,
a bit of freelancing, and a year or so playing with ideas,
I wanted to make more films, so I applied to the NFTS.
Three
years and two films later…I’ve experimented with a variety of styles and techniques
using traditional animation, live action and computers.But I have learned most through the collaborations
involved in doing something artistic at a film school, rather
than attempting to make films at an art school.Beyond the NFTS I would like to develop more
abstract animation within a narrative structure, but my main
interest remains in telling a good story!
