Catriona Naismith
I am interested in the collaborative opportunities at the NFTS and wish to develop my understanding of narrative filmmaking and communicating ideas through image with sound. I like to experiment with different techniques and also continue to use 2d and 3d software.

Worked freelance in the art department of various film and television productions as runner/assistant Gregory's 2 Girls (Young Lake Productions), Split Second (Stockbridge Films/BBC 1), Walter: My Secret Life (Channel 4), Haywire (BBC Scotland), Donovan Quick (BBC Scotland), A Shot at Glory (Cup UK Productions), Tinsel Town (BBC Scotland), Late Night Shopping (Ideal World Films/Film Four), The Book Group (Pirate Productions/Channel 4), Taggart (SMG Productions/ITV), short films and pop promos.

More recently jobs include animator/3d artist on Susie Gold (Pathe Films), Wimbledon, Blackball, LD50, Harry Potter:The Prisoner of Azkaban, Alien Versus Predator, Valiant (Vanguard Animation) and a pop promo for the band Subtle with SSSR.

Previously I studied for a degree in drawing and painting, film design, and 2d/3d computer animation.
